As a "volunteer-driven" endeavor, the success of Horizons at Harley since 1995 years has been facilitated by the incredibly committed individuals who have brought to bear their time, talents, and treasure in so many different ways.
We offer you the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of these children in whatever way(s) is most convenient and appropriate for you. We seek individuals, corporations, foundations, and potential youth-serving partners who will enable us to continue providing a high quality, summer-learning experience - while fully taking advantage of what you have to offer.

TIME
We have events throughout the year in which you can be involved. Participate in one of our special events (Book Distributions, MLK Day Community Service Chaperone, Summer Program Volunteer, Fundraising Activities). Simply fill-out the Adult or Student Volunteer Form and submit to us. (All program volunteers over 18 years old will be subject to a background check).
TALENT
Perhaps you have a particular talent or training you would like to share with our program. Simply let us know and we will see if we can incorporate it in our plans. Share a profession, organize a fundraiser, serve on our board, lead a seminar in a particular area, teach a class in the sciences or arts...THE SKY'S THE LIMIT.
TREASURE
Financial and in-kind contributions to Horizons is a great way to be part of our 16-year story while helping local children in need reach their potential.
- $24,000 sponsors a full class of 15 students for all six weeks.
- $1600 provides a full six-week scholarship to one of our students.
- $1000 provides art, music, and drama for one week.
- $500 purchases a set of theme-specific books.
All gifts, at any level, are life-changing for our students, and of great value to our community. Horizons at Harley recieves in-kind support from the Harley School community, but relies entirely on contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations for program operating funds. All contributions to Horizons at Harley are tax-deductible.
