Administrative Intern

Over the past several years Horizons has developed a partnership with the Education Administration department at SUNY Brockport. Each summer Horizons has offered a non-paid internship to Brockport students who are working towards their administrative certifications. The position lasts for the duration of the summer program and extends one additional week to allow for final administrative obligations. The intern takes on the position of Assistant Director and is essential to the day to day running of the program. Horizons offers a wide variety of administrative tasks that provide a real world experience for the intern. General duties include, but are definitely not limited to interviewing teachers, scheduling, discipline, attendance, parent communication, and coordinating the student assistants. In addition the opportunity also exists for the intern to observe instruction centered on an environment that promotes a love of learning. If interested complete the Administrative Intern Application. Interviews are generally held in January and February.
