High-school juniors and seniors are employed as Student Assistants with Horizons, and are vital to the success of the program. Students Assistants work as classroom aides at each grade level, provide bus supervision from School #9 or School #12, assist with meal set-up and clean up, and perform various other duties that help ensure smooth program operations. While many Student Assistants return each year and qualified Horizons graduates are invited to apply, vacancies do occur and applications are welcome from tenth and eleventh grade students who attend school in the City of Rochester.
