An enrichment program for inner-city students enrolled in grades K-8 that is aimed at improving their academic performance, aspirations and social interactions.
Rochester ranks 11th nationally for child poverty, and its percentage of children who fail to graduate from high school is nationally among the highest. Providing stimulating, nurturing summer experience for several successive years enhances the academic achievement of children considered "at risk."
Children in grades K-8 who qualify for the federal lunch program, reside in the City of Rochester, perform in the average to above average academic range, and demonstrate typical behavior.
