Horizons began in 1995 with 24 children in grades 1-2. In 2009 enrollment was 122 in grades K-8. The program also employs 8 city high school students as teacher aides to develop their work habits, skills and attitudes.
Openings
Classes are limited to 15 students each. Horizons recruits at Schools #9, 12 and 22 to fill vacancies. Applications for children attending other schools are considered as well.
